Meet Rachel
Meet Rach. A PE/Health teacher by day, and personal trainer by night. She is also a certified nutritionist and holds a Master's degree in Human Kinetics and Sports Management.
Rachel’s fitness journey started at a young age. She grew up skiing, playing competitive hockey, and was the QB of her football team. Her coaching career started in 2020 when she was living and studying in Montreal. During the pandemic, she came back home to Ottawa and started a gym in her garage, where she trained people throughout for a few years and grew as a coach. Since then, she has worked in fitness studios across Ottawa, Montreal, and Melbourne, Australia, where she most recently lived for 1.5 years. She also coached at large-scale fitness events in Melbourne throughout her time there and was very involved in the Aus fitness community.
Rachel is currently completing her Mat Pilates certification to further support clients. Her mission is simple: to help people build sustainable habits, gain confidence, and feel stronger, both physically and mentally.
When she is not in the gym, you’ll probably find her on an airplane traveling to a foreign country, teaching the kiddos at school, on a hike, or trying new local restaurants/cafes!

5:30am or 5pm workout? I love a mid-day workout, but if I had to choose between 5:30am or 5pm I’d say 5pm
Favourite country you’ve travelled? I’ve been to 67 so it’s impossible to pick just one, but some of my favs have been Indonesia, Philippines, Chile, Colombia, Italy, Aus/NZ…
Favourite restaurant in the area? The Village House in Wakefield
Favourite trail in the park? Is it basic if I say Pink Lake
Best concert? Fred Again in Australia (3x)
Best part about Chelsea? The cute, cozy, charming vibe!!!
Favourite artist? Noah Kahan.
Something we might not know about you? I speak 4 languages - French, English, Spanish, and Italian & 5 if you count Australian haha
Favourite music to workout too? Techno.

Favourite movement? Front squats!
Favourite part about Athletica? The amazing workouts, the vibe, and the community!! Everyone has been so welcoming and kind, and it’s been such a great environment to come into!
