Thomas lives in Chelsea with his partner Sarah and two young boys, Everett and Beau. When he's not in the gym you can find him outdoors mountain biking, rock climbing, paddling or river surfing, or at Palmier enjoying a coffee with friends.
Paul | Co-Founder | CF-L1 Trainer
Former sprint kayaker, hockey player and powerlifter, co-founder Paul has always lived an active lifestyle. After stepping away from heavy powerlifting in 2019, he found the balance and strength he was looking for through functional fitness training. Combining Olympic lifts, gymnastics, cardio and skilled movements he was able to drastically improve his strength, endurance and overall health. With over seven years of experience coaching young athletes at the Cascades club and across the country in British Columbia, Paul finds comfort in educating athletes on proper movement and performance. If he's not throwing around some weights, you can find Paul playing beer league hockey at the local arena, hanging out with friends on the river or planning his next travel big travels.
Katherine | Co-Founder | CF-L1 Trainer
I was first introduced to functional fitness training in 2018. Growing up I spent all my time in the gym doing a whole lot of bench press and paddling my sprint kayak on the Gatineau river taking strokes towards my goal of becoming a stronger and faster paddler. After a nasty bike crash forced me to hang up my paddle for good, I knew that I needed to find another fitness outlet and that's when my older brother Tommy introduced me to functional fitness training; I fell in love with it right away. The effective and efficient workouts that helped me maintain my strength, skills and cardio as I transitioned from a high performance athlete to a univeristy student. Although I was no longer racing, I couldn't completely step away from paddling so I began coaching the younger generation of paddlers at my local canoe club, giving me great experience in coaching groups and creating effective workouts for athletes. In 2018, I decided to become a certified Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, since then I've been coaching Athletica Outdoor Workouts and creating tailored workout programs for our personal programming clients. If I'm not throwing down with the Chelsea Athletica crew, you can find me studying Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, spending time on the Gatineau river or surfing the waves in Tofino.
